A Pause Along the Way: With Every Breath, You Say Hi To Life
A soul note to print, pin, & pass on.
Dear Friend,
May my words find you bathing in the warmth of summer or cocooning in the stillness of winter.
Here, the heat has slowed life down. While there’s comfort in that, it’s also made things feel a little unsettled. Summer moves differently — unhurried and heavy — and I often find myself longing for the crispness of autumn.
Between shady corners and chilled drinks to stay cool, I’ve started to write again on 'Grace & Grit' after a small break. With my birthday not far off, I’ve been reflecting: turning 50 last year wasn’t just a milestone — it was an invitation. One I couldn’t refuse. One that became a new book, soon to be released.
Writing it wasn’t always easy. At times, I had to stop and sit with the weight of what I was sharing. That’s when I turned to my breath. And I noticed — how shallow it had become. Tight. As if I were afraid to open fully.
What was I holding back?
Why was breathing in so difficult?
Only recently did I understand: each breath I take is my willingness to stay with life, even when it feels chaotic or raw. As I breathe, I find my quiet refuge — a place to return to, to refill myself when the world feels like too much.
What a joy, isn’t it? To realize that what we need to live well is already within us. The breath comes — not one too soon, not one too late. It sustains us, moment by moment.
Every breath is your yes to life.
Can you feel it, beloved?
Can you trust that when you breathe, you are choosing each moment — and everything it brings?
Words for the Way are meant to be printed, pinned nearby, and passed along. Let them remind you — and those you love — that you deserve all the life there is. Say yes to it and live it well.
With love for the road ahead, Antonia x
